Hi, sorry the late post.
I'm currently a third year student studying architecture at UTS and participated in the last CitySwitch in Newcastle earlier this year. Really excited to see what we can do this time in Izumo!
My idea is to inform the spatial arrangement of programs inside the tea room through smooth curved lines to contrast the rectilinear shop.
Curved lines are representative of the movement of waves/sound/wind.
Use of materials will maybe include transparent and opaque paper materials dark and light to emphasise the contrast.

いよいよ『City Switch 出雲2010』始まりました。
今回、SUNROAD中町チームは出雲建築フォーラムと一緒に『茶室』を提案します。
朝9:00、初めてのミーティング。
まずはマテリアルを見て考えることにし、みんなで近くホームセンターへ。
帰りは、出雲一美しいと言われる散歩道『山手往還』を散歩。
いよいよ対象敷地に戻って、本格ミーティングです。
今までブログで上げてきた、それぞれのアイデアを練り上げました。
今回のSUNROADチームのコンセプトは『WIND(風）』です。出雲は非常に風が強いという地域性を『風の茶室』として表現します。
メッシュの透けるテクスチャを使って、光と風の演出、入り口・茶室・出口の形態などなど・・・
細部から全体の大枠まで話はつきない。
夜7:00、お腹が空いた所で古民家塾にて昨日のオープニングパーティの残り物をみんなでたいらげました。
手作りカレーうましぃ〜！
夜ご飯後、学生は作業場所に戻りミーティング。『風の茶室』と合わせて行うテープア−トの題材を選びます。今も作業は続いているのか！否か！
続きは、明日のお楽しみ☆

古民家塾から、竹の茶室のお引っ越し。
引っ越し先は、サンロード中町に面するポケットパーク。
龜谷さんの設計したお洒落なcafeの横。
詳細はまた後日。
